Life with Jesus

If your answer to the above poll is a YES then you are on the safe side and you don't need to be scared about dying. But, unfortunately, if you are not so sure if you are going to heaven or not the sad thing is that you won't. So, we are going to discuss about how you can find yourself a place in the kingdom of God.

Dicussing the whole thing will take us forever so i will elaborate the main points in the simplest manner so it won't be a pain for the readers. I hope at least a few souls may change from my writing. please read on...

1. CHRISTIANITY:

Who is a christian? Anybody who FOLLOWS and BELIEVE in Jesus Christ is a christian. But almost everybody don't understand what the following and believing part means. To the world anybody having his/her name in the church register is considered a christian. Yes, that sounds right but to God only those who follows his words in the bible and fully believes in him is a christian. That makes only a fraction of us true christians.

If you are somebody who lives his life like he wants, not different from the other non-christians in a single way, you badly need to recieve Jesus and change your life. Because your life is not safe. when you buy something expensive you always consider about insuring it. well, the most important thing YOU...is it insured??

2. THE NEED FOR SALVATION:

We need salvation i.e. to be born again in Christ so that we may go to heaven when we die. If you are not saved then you will go to hell when you die. we have understood the importance of salvation so how can you recieve it? read the points below..

• Everybody is born a sinner. The first human Adam and Eve sinned against God and so we are all sinners. You may say that you haven't commited any crime or done anything offensive but you need to understand the fact that you were born a sinner.
• But God loves us so much that he sent his only begotten son to earth and he died for us on the cross of calvary. He died the death of a sinner to save us from our sins, that God may forgive us.
• He had forgiven all our sins, he died for us. before Jesus came i.e. during the timeof the Old Testament a sin offering had to be made to the Lord in order to be forgiven but Jesus sacrificed himself as a sin offering because he loves us.
• All we have to do to be saved is to accept that he died for our sins, to repent for our sins and give our life to him.

3. ACCEPTING JESUS:

If you do not accept Jesus you willl not be saved. The good news is that you don't have to cut your arm or offer offerings worth millions to g to heaven, everything has been done for you by Jesus who loves you the most.

• Believe him as your personal saviour.
• Leave your old life and start a new life.
• Remember, he loves you no matter who you are, where you are from or what you've done. There are certain things that humans can't forgive. Even your loved ones will not forgive you if you do something that hurts them very much. Human's love is limited. BUT think about Jesus' love for you...he forgave you no matter what you've done. Isn't that the greatest love? Don't you even want to change for sake of he who died for your sake?

4. TEMPTATION:

We all know what temptations mean. We face temptations in our day-to-day life but remember you will face the greatest of temptations when you accept Jesus. Temptations are from the devil so when you leave him he will come after you and he will try his best to get you back. And you know we have seen in the movies, when the villians wants to harm the invincible hero they will act upon his loved ones. Yes, the devil is much wIser, he wil use your friends, your girlfriend, your wife, etc to make you fall back. that is why we have seen many religious persons who commit great mischiefs.

But fear not for the lord will always be by your side. You have to do ceratin things to strengthen your faith and your relationship with the Almighty: you have to live the life of a true christian. when you do that even the devil will be scared of you. But the greatest diificulty lies in the distance between accepting God and becoming a mature christian in faith. Many a times i have seen young men and women commiting their lives to the Lord in bible camps or seminaries. But afterwards they become the same person that they used to be. I have asked a few of them what happened and they all gave me the same answer. They confess they can't face the temptations as they mostly comes from friends and families.

5. THE CHRISTIAN LIFE:

Accepting Jesus isn't the end of being a christian, it is only the beginning. After recieving Jesus as your true saviour there are certain things that you have to do in order to develop your faith as a christian. The most basic yet the most important things are listed below...They are like the stands of a tripod-stand. If one of them falls, all of them falls. So, you have to follow all the three of them religiously.

1. BIBLE: Times have changed, technology has changed, the world has changed, generations have changed and people have changed BUT the word of the Lord hasn't change and it never will. You can't modify the rules laid out in the bible to fit your lifestyle and the trend of the modern world.

The Holy Bible is the only food to your christian life. There is no substitute to it. If you don't read it daily then your faith will sink and temptations will swallow you up. So you need to reserve sometime of your daily life to read the world of the lord. It will teach you, guide and nourish you. It will speak to you.

2. PRAYER: Prayer is a very very very important tool for a christian to fight against evil. From the beginning of time the Lord has never failed to answer the prayers of his faithful children. if you read in the bible you will see how the Lord felt pity and act immediately when he hears the cries of his loving childrens. I can't stress enough the importance of a prayer.

Lifes had been changed, nations have been saved due to the affect of prayers deliver unto the Lord. Every morning right after cleaning up read the Holy Bible and pray unto the Lord, commit your day to him and see how blessed your day will be.

3. WORSHIP: Without worship your faith will be stunted. Attend worship service whenever and where ever you could. After you accept Christ as your saviour you are like a newborn into in the christian faith so you need nourishment in the form of encouragement from fellow christians. Go to field works, reach out your hand to help the needy in the name of the Lord.

When you do all the three points above nothing can shake you, you will be blessed and you feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life.

CONCLUSION: Nothing can be compared to the joy you will find in the lord. Don't lust for the riches of this world for they are only temporary. Give your life to the lord and live for him. He will give you countless of gifts in heaven.

Getting a decent job has became harder than ever in our generation. But, it is much more better in every dimension to work for the King of all kings than to work for Obama or Gordon Brown. If you are in the military and you die in a shoot out your family will only get some money but if you die a martyr for the Lord, he will descend down to earth with his angels to take you to heaven. Not only that he will bless your family forever. Now, isn't that great???

Shed your tears, your sweat and your blood for the Lord. He is your creator and He had sacrificed his only son for you. If a billionaire sacrificed his son for you, what would you feel? undescribable to say the least. But imagine, the creator of the whole universe sacrificed his son for you. The devil will try to make you lead a lukewarm live but have the wisdom and the courage to do the right thing my brothers and sisters. May God bless you all!
